Artist Statement

I am constantly seeing things that make me want to pick up my paint brush. Sometimes it’s a sunset that imprints itself in my mind or a tree with an unusual profile and personality, a landscape that speaks to my heart or a flower so vibrant I can hardly stand it.  I love warm, bright and happy colors.  My subjects are most often inspired by nature and everyday life.  I love patterns, designs, shadows and shapes.  My work usually is spiced with a tinge of impressionism.
